The Clinical Nurse I in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist unit is responsible for assessing, coordinating, implementing, and managing the care needs of assigned patients. This role emphasizes compassionate patient care and effective communication with the caregiving team, ensuring quality delivery throughout the patient care episode, including transitions. Registered Professional Nurses in this position are expected to progress in competency within their specialty via the Nursing Professional Advancement Pathway.

coordination of patient care provided by the caregiving team. S/he assures that competent, compassionate
patient care is uniformly provided to customers including referring facilities, hospital staff and patients in the
inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
** Registered Professional Nurses that participate in the Nursing Professional Advancement Pathway (NPAP)
